Overview
The Paro Tshechu is held every spring and is one of the most colorful and significant events in Paro Dzongkhag, drawing visitors from neighboring areas. A highlight comes on the final morning when monks unveil the Guru Throngdel, a massive embroidered thangkha — Thongdrols are considered so sacred that simply seeing one is said to cleanse the viewer of sin.
