Overview

Jambay Lhakhang, founded in the 7th century by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo, is one of Bhutan's oldest and most sacred temples — Guru Rinpoche himself is said to have visited the site several times and deemed it exceptionally sacred. This tour times your visit to Bumthang around the temple's namesake festival, whose main draw is a nighttime fire ritual where crowds gather to witness the ritualistic naked dance.
